The Motorhome Provides A Lifestyle Freedom Which Is Hard To Compare, Easy To Embrace
Next week is New Zealand's Motorhome week.
A week which kicks off with what we believe is New Zealand's longest calvalcade of vehicles leaving from Chelsea Park
Sugar Refinery Reserve and travels over the harbour bridge to Otahuhu via Mission Bay.
The Motorhome is responsible for bringing multi million dollar tourism revenues into New Zealand. The flow of inbound
tourists take a fleet of well over 3000 Motorhomes continuously through the year with peaks in December, January and
February.
Maui Rentals one of New Zealand largest fleet operators are increasing fleet numbers to cope with a significant increase
in demand over the Millennium period.
" We just haven't got the numbers to satisfy the shear deluge of inquiries that are coming daily via travel agents,
travel wholesalers and the web" says Ross Morley - General Manager of Maui Rentals.
The company invested heavily in Australia and South Africa over the last four years and has in the last week purchased
one of the largest global operators "Brits - New Zealand, Brits Australia and Brits South Africa, to compliment its
operations and provide increased Motorhome numbers.
It's a similar story locally with the Motor Caravan Association of New Zealand rocketing membership to over seven
thousand private owners of Motorhomes which carry the red wings and enjoy rallies and gatherings throughout New Zealand.
The association also enjoys contacts overseas which provides swapping options and friendships.
The Motorhome has had humble beginnings as converted busses and rebuilt caravans but has recently become a luxury
lifestyle option for global and national freedom seekers.
We welcome all Motorhome owners to join the cavalcade starting at Chelsea Park Sugar Refinery at 10am, Sunday 26 to
celebrate the lifestyle freedom that comes from owning or hiring a Motorhome.
