Tibet Information Evening This Saturday

On Saturday, 14 August at 7:30pm, at the Wellington Buddhist Centre, 64 Cambridge Terrace, will be a social evening with a panel discussion on "How to Help Tibet".
Confirmed speakers are Chris Mathieson from Wellington Friends of Tibet and Katherine Bukowski from Students For A Free Tibet at Victoria University. Joining them will be Jan Stanway, a regular attendent of FOT meetings, who has recently visited in Tibet and photographed many excellent slides.
Some of the subjects that will be discussed are:
Organisations you can support to help refugee Tibetan people
APEC and the opportunities it offers to highlight the plight of Tibet
The upcoming SFT "Bodhi Freedom Festival" here in Wellington
The current situation in Tibet
There will be a supper to follow. Please feel free to let other people you know who may be interested in participating in this event.
