Plunket Line, the telephone help line for parents and care givers, will reopen on Monday 16 August.
The line will operate from midday until midnight, seven days a week, by a rostered team of Plunket nurses, many of whom
previously worked on the line.
Plunket's chief executive officer, John Thompson, said that terms and conditions relating to the operation of Plunket
Line were finalised with the Health Funding Authority on Thursday.
In May the Minister of Health, Wyatt Creech, announced a $1.2 million funding package for Plunket Line which will enable
the service to operate for two years.
A petition calling for the reopening of Plunket Line, organised by Labour health spokesperson Annette King, received
over 60,000 signatures.
