The Year 2000 Festival Company is proceeding with its plans for the Gisborne 2000 Festival in Gisborne.
The overseas response to attending the Event in Gisborne has at this stage been less than hoped for but local enquiry is such that clearly any overseas shortfall will be more than covered by domestic patrons.
The company continues to work with the Gisborne District Council, as has been confirmed by the Mayor, towards ensuring a very successful event which NZ can be proud of.
