Short Forecast from Weather Workshop valid to midnight tonight.
In the north and west from Northland to Taranaki also for Bay
of Plenty and the central plateau: Mainly cloudy with scattered
rain about Northland and Auckland but mostly dry elsewhere.
In the east from Gisborne to Wairarapa: Morning cloud and the odd
coastal shower clearing and becoming mainly fine.
From Wanganui to Wellington, also for Nelson: Morning cloud
clearing and becoming fine.
For Marlborough and Canterbury: Mainly fine after morning cloud
and fog patches and showers abut the Kaikoura coast clear.
For the South Island West Coast: Becoming fine.
For Otago and Southland: Cloud and any remaining coastal
showers clearing this morning. Fine and frosty inland.
For the Chatham Islands: Mainly cloudy with showers becoming more
frequent for a time.
