Short Forecast from Weather Workshop valid to midnight tomorrow.
In the north and west from Northland to Taranaki also for Bay
of Plenty and the central plateau: High cloud increasing with
scattered rain developing over Northland from this evening.
Tomorrow, further falls about Northland and Auckland but mostly
dry elsewhere.
In the east from Gisborne to Wairarapa: Fine today. A few
showers and a brief southwest change spread north early tomorrow
then clearing from the south and becoming fine.
From Wanganui to Wellington, also for Nelson: Cloud increasing
with one or two showers developing about Wellington tonight.
Tomorrow, a few brief early showers about Wellington clearing,
elsewhere becoming fine.
For Marlborough and Canterbury: Mainly fine today. Cloud
increasing this afternoon then brief showers and southerlies
working north this evening. Tomorrow, aminly fine after morning
cloud and fog patches clear.
For the South Island West Coast: Rain about Fiordland working
further north during the day then gradually becoming fine from
the south tonight. Fine tomorrow.
For Otago and Southland: Cloudy with scattered rain easing to a
few coastal showers this afternoon and becoming fine and frosty
tonight. Fine tomorrow.
For the Chatham Islands: Showers, becoming less frequent with
fine periods increasing. Tomorrow, showers becoming more frequent
for a time.
