New Kiwi website launches to help New Zealanders combat cancer
Every day in New Zealand around 51 people are diagnosed with cancer, making it the country’s leading cause of death*. To help those diagnosed with cancer combat the disease Yasmin Farry, a survivor of inflammatory breast cancer has launched a new website called mywisebody.com
Farry, an Auckland based event producer was diagnosed with inflammatory breast cancer 10 years ago and her sole focus for 18 months until she recovered, was to research and understand all that she could do to help her body fight it.
“Cancer will throw your whole world upside down and it forces you to look at your life. I believe we are the cornerstone of our own healing and that we can and should take control of our health while working alongside medical practitioners. Knowledge is power and when you’re diagnosed with cancer it feels as though all the power and control has been taken away from you as you go from one appointment to another, from tests to MRIs. I created My Wise Body to give people diagnosed with cancer a place to find their own light bulb moments and discover the products and books they need to support them in their fight for good health,” says Farry.
Based on Yasmin’s own experience and learnings mywisebody.com offers a range of super foods, teas, supplements, books and e-books, natural skincare and ‘help a friend’ my wise bundles for people who have friends dealing with cancer or undergoing chemotherapy.
