St John at first day of ITM 400 Hamilton V8s

St John at first day of ITM 400 Hamilton V8 Supercars

St John had 61 patient contacts on the first day of the ITM 400 Hamilton V8 Supercars today. The majority of these were for minor medical and accident incidents. One patient was transported off site by ambulance to Waikato Hospital.

“Spectators should ensure they keep their water and food intake up and stay covered up in the sun. These simple precautions will help spectators avoid needing medical care for things like fatigue and dehydration,” said St John Event Commander Mike Pudney.

St John will continue to have additional resources available and strategically placed around Hamilton city on Saturday and Sunday. St John ambulances have access to all locations within Hamilton city during the event.
