New CEO at Hawke’s Bay District Health Board

New CEO announced
Today, Hawke’s Bay District Health Board announced the appointment of Dr Kevin Snee as its new Chief Executive.
Dr Snee is currently the Chief Executive of NHS Devon in the United Kingdom. He is an experienced National Health Service senior executive who has a background as a clinician, a leader in public health issues, a hospital manager and a leader of one of the largest Primary Care Trusts in England. (Primary Care Trusts are the leaders of the local NHS system who take responsibility for funding and overseeing the development of hospital services and General Practice and they also run the local community and public health services).
“Dr Snee will bring a rich background in the key aspects of health experience management to Hawke’s Bay.
He has proven ability and success as a Chief Executive and will be an asset to the DHB and the community,” said HBDHB Commissioner, Sir John Anderson,
Dr Snee, his wife Ann and their three children aged eight, six and four will emigrate to New Zealand in October and he will take up the position at the DHB at that time.
