Paper Plus Group Asks Shoppers To ‘Add A Dollar’ In July To Battle Illnesses Affecting Kiwi Kids
This month the book and stationery seller Paper Plus Group is appealing to the generosity of shoppers, asking them to open their wallets a little wider and add a dollar to their purchase in support of the charity Cure Kids.
Throughout July the Paper Plus Group is participating in the Cure Kids ‘Add a Dollar’ campaign, which is raising money to fund crucial, life-saving medical research for New Zealand children. The nationwide bid asks Paper Plus and Take Note shoppers to help seriously ill Kiwi children by adding $1 to their next purchase at any store.
Cure Kids is the face of the Child Health Research Foundation, which has invested more than $21 million in medical research into life-threatening childhood illnesses in New Zealand since it was founded three decades ago.
Cure Kids Business Development Director Mandy Groube said the charity was delighted to be working with the Paper Plus Group, and that the company’s support gave a valuable boost to Cure Kids’ research projects. “One hundred percent of all funds raised will go to research, helping to save hundreds of children’s lives and improving the quality of life for thousands more.
“This helps children like Christopher North, who lives with asthma; Jorja Sharp, who lives with burns; Cherokee Sagisagi, who lives with a brain tumour; Sam Stevens, who lives with cystic fibrosis, and Olivia Burgess, who lives with diabetes. Every one of them, and thousands of Kiwi kids like them, benefits from Cure Kids’ research projects. We are very grateful to the Paper Plus Group for their support.”
Lyle Hastings, Marketing Manager for the Paper Plus Group, said his team was galvanized by the opportunity to support a worthy charity. “We are proud to be backing such an important cause, and we’d love to have our shoppers ‘add a dollar’ to Cure Kids when they visit Paper Plus or Take Note in July.”
