“Exercise Empowers the Mind”
The annual NEWTOWN FESTIVAL continues from the annual Newtown Fair with the presentation of the 2008 MENTAL HEALTH EXPO to be held on Monday 3 March 2008 at the Ioane Vito Centre in Fergusson St, Newtown.
Presented by the South East & City Primary Health Organisation, the day is an opportunity of networking amongst mental health providers and users; an opportunity to learn and above all an opportunity to celebrate the diversity of Mental Health Organisations in Wellington.
From 11am to 3pm, the day includes displays, performances and just the opportunity to find out what is available and what people are entitled to.

Other events during the festival include NEWTOWN FESTIVAL FAIR DAY (Sunday 1 March) THE CARRARA PARK JAZZ PICNIC (SATURDAY 8 MARCH), a Walk Around Newtown leaving from the Zoo gates, an exhibition by artist, PAUL FOREST and the ever popular CULTURE JAM (SATURDAY 2 MARCH).
