Sports stars and fans test their knowledge in Calf Scheme quiz
Sporting stars, corporate heavyweights and sporting fanatics go head-to-head in the IHC PGG Wrightson Calf Scheme Sports Quiz in Cambridge on Tuesday 20th November.
Gold medal rowers Georgina and Caroline Evers-Swindell and rugby great Colin Meads will compete in the event at the Cambridge Town Hall. Three sporting fans, IHC self-advocacy co-ordinators Robert Martin and David Corner and PGG Wrightson Chairman Craig Norgate, will test their considerable knowledge against the stars.
Radio Sports' Kevin Hart is drawing up the list of questions and will fire them at the two competing teams of Georgina, Colin and Robert against Caroline, Craig and David.
The evening of entertainment is hosted by PGG Wrightson as thank you to farmers who donate calves to the Calf Scheme, which operates as a partnership between PGG Wrightson and IHC. The calves donated through the Calf Scheme are sold at a weaner fairs through the PGG Wrightson livestock trading network.
The IHC Calf Scheme has been a part of the rural calendar for over 22 years now. All proceeds go directly back into rural areas and are used in IHC programmes which make a significant difference in the lives of people and families living with intellectual disability.
PGG Wrightson's corporate sponsorship pays for promoting and administrating the Calf Scheme. Their expert livestock advice, support and networks are crucial to the scheme's success.
Invitations have been sent out to donating farmers, supporters and friends of IHC in the greater Waikato and surrounding areas.
