HBDHB in talks with preferred provider of physiotherapy services in Napier
Following the July relocation of physiotherapy services from the Napier Health Centre, Hawke’s Bay District Health Board called for requests for proposals from private physiotherapists wanting to work in partnership with the DHB to provide physiotherapy services from the Napier Health Centre.
General manager of planning, funding and performance, Dr Win Bennett said the DHB has selected a preferred provider and is in discussions with them about how they could best utilise existing facilities in Napier.
Negotiations around the range of physiotherapy services to be provided are expected to be complete within the next month. “Once a contract is signed we will be making a joint announcement around this exciting private/public partnership,” Win Bennett said.
The purpose-built physio facility is located on the ground floor of the Napier Health Centre. It includes a gym, hydrotherapy pool and separate reception area.
