Consultation sought on problem gambling service plan
The Ministry of Health is seeking submissions on its draft Consultation Document which includes a Service Plan, Needs Assessment and Levy Calculations for preventing and minimising gambling harm over the three-years 2007-2010.
The service plan outlines the way the ministry proposes to fund intervention and public health services to reduce gambling harm, including workforce development and research.
The levy calculation draft includes the proposed levy rates that the different gambling sectors will contribute toward the total levy amount.
Consultation will commence today. Written submissions are invited alongside public meetings to be held around New Zealand. Submissions close Friday September 8.
