Funding Rollout For 45-64 Year Olds – Agreement Reached
We are pleased to announce that PHOs and DHBs have reached agreement for the funding rollout for the 45-64 year olds.
It has been a group effort to ensure that an agreement was reached on the final wording of the contract and the Minister’s and sector’s expectations have been met.
All parties support the agreement and are confident that the new fees review process and information requirements will provide a sound framework for the next two years.
This future proofing will enable the sector to focus on the next stage of the implementation of the Primary Health Care Strategy.
As a result of the funding rollout of $100m, a further 680,000 New Zealanders will have access to significantly cheaper GP visits and prescription charges from 1 July.
