Unique new health sector directory leads the way
PRESS RELEASE: Health Services Consumer Research Ltd.
5 September 2005
It is now easier than ever before to contact the right healthcare manager in New Zealand.
Launched earlier this year by Health Services Consumer Research Ltd in Auckland, the Health Connection Directory (www.healthconnection.co.nz),is an online directory of key decision makers in the New Zealand health sector.
The Health Connection Directory, which provides a unique look at the health sector by listing key decision makers rather than merely organisations, is showing great promise.
What really sets the Health Connection apart however is its open and collaborative nature. By tapping into the potential of the internet, the team at HSCR have designed the Health Connection directory so that anyone with access to the internet can help keep the directory up to date.
"One of the biggest problems faced by traditional paper-based directories is keeping them up to date" said HSCR Managing Director Dr Gerard Zwier.
"The health sector, like many other professional areas these days, is extremely dynamic. People move between jobs and between organisations more and more. But, by using dynamic internet database technology to its fullest, the Health Connection directory is able to stay up to date in real time."
Commenting on its technology, Dr Zwier said that "We have built systems that enable people not only to add themselves and others to the directory but then also keep those listings up to date."
"The real innovation here is the openness of our directory. Anyone can go into the directory and edit any of the listings."
The Health Connection directory utilises uniquely cooperative and collaborative methodologies to make it the most up to date and comprehensive directory in the New Zealand health sector.
You can visit the directory online at http://www.healthconnection.co.nz
