Wobbly Arts Exhibition: 2nd to 8th September 2005, Dunedin
The Dunedin “Wobbly Arts’ exhibition organisers and exhibitors are looking forward to the formal opening of the Multiple
Sclerosis Society’s first national art exhibition on Friday 2nd of September.
Event organiser Beverly Glenn is delighted to announce it will be open to the public from Saturday the 3rd of September
through to Thursday 8th of September from 10 am till 4.00 pm at the Dunedin City Council's Community Gallery in Princes
Street. There will be no entrance fee.
The Otago MS “Wobbly Art Exhibition” is timed to coincide with National MS Awareness Week from the 2nd to the 8th
September 2005.
Beverly has been delighted with the response from artists with multiple sclerosis from throughout New Zealand. A New
Zealander living in Australia has also sent work for the exhibition.
Sixty-five pieces of work from 21 artists will be up for sale, with the youngest artist, Kate Thompson, 9 years old from
Wellington, a special guest of the society on opening night.
Another special guest artist will be local Otago Peninsula photographer Tudor Caradoc-Davies, a previous patron of the
society and the only artist without Multiple Sclerosis.
Beverly says “I’m excited about how well the exhibition has gone so far, and I’m planning that it will be held annually
from now on”. She envisages future MS exhibitions travelling throughout New Zealand, offering inspiration to artists
with multiple sclerosis and their supporters.
