The consequences of abortions for subsequent pregnancies
As abortion now claims 25% of all babies conceived in New Zealand, thanks to the radical culture of death promoted and
facilitated by New Zealand’s neo-pagan Labour-led government and former governments of all political stripes, we should
expect that there would be a consequence to this evil.
The Bible tells us that because we live in a moral universe with a clearly defined ethic revealed by God, the moral
governor of the universe does visit the sins of the those in authority upon the next generations (Ex. 20:5). Don’t
misunderstand me. When the Bible talks about the sins of the fathers being visited upon the “the children unto the third
and fourth generation of them that hate me”, we are not to understand that God punishes the innocent for the sins of
others.
There are consequences to the practice of abortion. The abortionist will tell you that when they destroy the little baby
inside the mother’s womb, all he is killing is a useless appendage which lacks a soul or any right to life.
But a recent study of almost three thousand births by French epidemiologist, Dr Caroline Moreau of the Hôpital de
Bicêtre in Paris, has concluded that there is an undeniable link between abortion and premature births which carry a
high risk of death for the baby. This scientific study concluded that mothers who had previously aborted were 1.7 times
more likely to bear a premature child who risked death soon after birth, and for those that survive, a greater
likelihood of a serious disability.
How anyone in the medical profession, knowing these outcomes can in good conscience continue to effect abortions is
beyond me. And how a mother could abort her child knowing that any future child might die or be born with serious
deformities must be beyond the ken of anyone. And how our Hospital Board can possibly consider establishing an abortiory
here in Wanganui is incomprehensible.
