The conference will explore:
1. Reducing inequalities in health
Advances in understanding inequalities in the social, economic and ethnic determinants of health and health status. Presentations on mental health promotion and prison health.
2. Sustainable development
Strategies, policies and initiatives that ensure the wellbeing of current and future generations.
3. Public health law and public policy
The role of law in public health, and the contribution of policies outside the health sector to health and wellbeing.
4. Place-based public health initiatives
Successful initiatives, and lessons learnt for future initiatives that use the places where people live, work and play to improve public health and reduce inequalities.
5. Research and evaluation methods
Research and evaluation methods that are of interest to the broad range of disciplines involved in public health.
