Building Our Children’s Health Near Completion
Barfoot & Thompson’s fundraising campaign to buy a new $300,000 ultrasound machine for Starship is nearing completion with the addition today of a further 1,056 blocks representing the company’s sales for the month of February.
Barfoot & Thompson is donating a Lego building block for every successful property sale* towards the goal of building a two metre high model of Bob the Builder. When the model is complete, which is expected to be next month, the firm will proudly present Starship with the new state-of-the-art machine.
Another significant milestone was reached today with 11 salespeople from Barfoot & Thompson branches across the North Shore joining together to help put the latest blocks in place. This brought the total to 4,833, meaning the model is about 90 percent complete.
Barfoot & Thompson Director Peter Thompson is delighted with the progress of the fundraising campaign. “We’re on the home strait now. It’s satisfying to see how far we have come since the launch in October.”
“We are on track to be able to reach our goal next month and look forward to being able to present Starship Radiology with this vital piece of equipment.”
