Telecom formalises Health Innovation Awards sponsorship
ACC and the Ministry of Health welcome Telecom as the premier business sponsor of the Health Innovation Awards.
Since their inauguration in 2003, the Health Innovation Awards have become New Zealand's leading event for recognising
achievement and innovation in health and rehabilitation.
Telecom became the sole business sponsor at this year's awards in June and an agreement formalising its support for next
year has been signed by Telecom Chief Executive Theresa Gattung, ACC Chief Executive Garry Wilson and Ministry of Health
Director-General Karen Poutasi.
Dr Poutasi and Mr Wilson said Telecom's support went well beyond a financial contribution and demonstrated the prestige
attained by the Awards in just two years.
Ms Gattung said the Health Innovation Awards showcased the best in innovation.
"The awards are a logical complement to Telecom's own deep commitment to the health and disability sector through its
resourcing and telecommunications solutions development," she said.
"This event emphasises the importance of innovation in keeping people well. We look forward to supporting the Ministry
of Health and ACC in promoting better care, recovery and rehabilitation outcomes."
