Nurse Maude Association seeks Mediation
The Nurse Maude Association will go to mediation in a bid to resolve the collective contract with its nurses.
Nurse Maude Association General Manager Corporate Services, Anushiya Ayingaran says the association has still not received formal notification of industrial action from the New Zealand Nurses Organisation which represents its nurses.
However, the Nurse Maude Association heard last week that its nurses voted to take industrial action.
“It was disappointing, as from the start of negotiations, we have tried to settle the contract in an amicable way. We are looking at all avenues to achieve this and mediation is the obvious next step, ” Mrs Ayingaran says.
The tentative date for mediation has been agreed on.
