Nelson Marlborough Mental Health Workers Breakthrough “Sunshine Hours”
PSA members working in Mental Health Services at Nelson Marlborough District Health Board have voted to accept a salary settlement offer ranging from 11% to 20.3% for a term of 20 months.
PSA Organiser Mike Cunliffe said the salaries and conditions negotiated at Nelson Marlborough DHB were now comparable with other DHBs in New Zealand.
“PSA delegates and membership were unified and determined to achieve a settlement which would be seen as a good basis for the retention and recruitment of Mental Health Services staff for the Top of the South region.”
“The settlement also recognises the 24-hour, 7-day a week nature of psychiatric nursing with improved penal rates for emergency Child, Adolescent and Adult Mental Health nursing staff.”
