Helicopter Appeal Still Short Of Target
Donations to the 2003 Electric helicopter appeal stand at $81,698.00 just over half way and we need your help to reach the target of $150,000.00.
The $150,000 that needs to be raised goes directly to help meet ‘standing costs’ of operating the Electricity Rescue Helicopter service, including such things as pilot’s wages, insurance, interest on loans and flight crew training
All donation forms have now been delivered to Northland letter boxes and we need Northlanders to show their support for the service by returning their forms with a donation.
Mark Gatland Northpower Chief Executive said “We all know that the service is worthwhile, but we need to show our support by donating to the appeal in any way we can. Northpower’s experience is that the appeal can only be successful if the public recognises the value of the Electricity Helicopter in the air over Northland”
All donations go directly to the Electricity Helicopter as the two lines companies in Northland, Northpower and Top Energy, pay the total costs of running the appeal including all advertising.
The Appeal account will continue to remain open at the ASB to allow for people to return their donation forms or they can simply call into any Northland ASB branch to donate.
