Time to apply for the New Zealand Health Innovation Awards 2004
Entries are again invited for New Zealand's premier health and rehabilitation awards, the Health Innovation Awards 2004.
The inaugural awards, presented in May this year, attracted nearly 200 applications from healthcare and rehabilitation providers from all parts of New Zealand.
With such strong support, the founding sponsors, ACC and the Ministry of Health, have made the awards an annual event that will showcase innovation and celebrate excellence in the health treatment, care and rehabilitation of New Zealanders.
Besides acknowledging and rewarding the achievements of health innovators, the New Zealand Health Innovation Awards aim to promote ideas and solutions that can be transferred to health providers across New Zealand and, even, internationally.
Applications are invited from individuals, groups and organisations in public health, accident and emergency care, general practice, disability services, community care, primary care and rehabilitation.
There are three entry categories:
· Individual: 1-5 people
· Group: 5-20 people
· Organisation: 20 or more people.
The winner of each category will receive a certificate and a cash prize.
In addition, category winners will be eligible for the Supreme Award which carries a grand prize of $15,000. A Popular Choice award will also be presented.
The New Zealand Business Excellence Foundation will manage the independent judging process using international criteria and evaluation processes.
The Foundation invites expressions of interest by November 14, 2003. Forms are available online at
The winners will be announced at a special ceremony at Te Papa in Wellington on June 14, 2004.
