RNZFB farewells Treasurer, appoints Chief Financial Officer
The Royal New Zealand Foundation of the Blind (RNZFB) farewells its Treasurer, Frank Claridge, who retires today after
19 years of service to the RNZFB and its members.
Geoff Warne (currently RNZFB Divisional Manager, Corporate Services) has been appointed to the new position of Chief
Financial Officer. Mr Warne starts in his new role on 31 July.
Mr Warne says that Mr Claridge’s stewardship has been so outstanding that it will be a challenge to follow him.
“Frank’s impact on the Foundation has been momentous. I’m relishing the opportunity to continue developing the
Foundation and consequently improving the lives of blind and vision-impaired people,” said Mr Warne
Acting Chief Executive Paula Daye says, “I welcome Geoff’s experience in his new role and believe his high level of
commitment to the Foundation will continue to be a real asset to the organisation as the new governance structure takes
shape”.
Mr Warne is a qualified accountant with a BA in Classics, a Bachelor of Commerce and an MBA from Auckland University. He
has worked for the Foundation for 12 years in accounting and corporate services management roles, and is also the
