Nutra-Life Health & Fitness (Nz) Ltd Withdraws Pan Pharmaceutical Manufactured Products
Nutra-Life Health & Fitness (NZ) Ltd today announced it will be removing from its stockists’ shelves in New Zealand products manufactured
by the Australian company, Pan Pharmaceuticals.
Although no Nutra-Life products are on the 219 product recall list in Australia, Nutra-Life has decided that to ensure
consumer confidence they will recall effected Pan-manufactured products effective immediately.
Pan Pharmaceuticals supplies a number of tablets and capsules to Nutra-Life for packing under its own brands and while
there is no evidence that these products are unsafe, Nutra-Life views the confusion for both retailers and consumers as
serious enough to warrant withdrawal of products manufactured by Pan Pharmaceuticals after 1st May 2002. As market
leader, Nutra-Life believes it is its responsibility to ensure the protection of the industry’s integrity.
Nutra-Life currently manufactures a large proportion of its products on site and at other licenced manufacturers. These
are immediately available for reorder. These products are of the highest quality and will continue to be sold with
confidence.
Nutra-Life CEO, Mark Mathews believes that the quality breaches made by Pan are serious enough to warrant a withdrawal
of their products.
“While there are no Nutra-Life products on the Australian recall list, we have made the decision to remove effected
Nutra-Life products manufactured by Pan Pharmaceuticals from our stockists’ shelves,” said Mathews.
“There is no evidence that these products are unsafe but it is only by removing them that we can return the confidence
to our consumers and uphold the integrity of our brands and industry. This is obviously going to affect our sales but we
are not prepared to compromise the standard of bringing our products to the market.”

other appropriate licenced manufacturers.
