Appeal launches tomorrow
Barnardos launches its Annual Appeal tomorrow and is aiming to raise not only money, but also awareness that the public can do something to stop child abuse.
Lending her support to our Appeal today is Barnardos’ patron, Governor-General Dame Silvia Cartwright.
Dame Silvia put on a distinctive Barnardos t-shirt to help get the message across. “I ask all New Zealanders to consider making a contribution towards the work of this most worthwhile of organisations,” Dame Silvia said. “Money raised in the Appeal enables Barnardos to turn young lives around and prevent abuse.”
Barnardos works on the front line, protecting children from abuse and violence, directly stepping in where children are neglected or abused as well as providing a range of care, education and support services.
The Annual Appeal, supported by Shell, runs between 4th-10th March, please give generously when the collector comes round.
