Acting CEO appointed to Royal New Zealand Foundation for the Blind
The Board of Trustees for the Royal New Zealand Foundation for the Blind (RNZFB) is pleased to announce they have
appointed an Acting Chief Executive (CEO).
Paula Daye, RNZFB Divisional Manager Adaptive Living has been appointed in the role for a six to eight month period
beginning 2 December.
Jonathan Mosen, Chairman of the Board, says the Board is appointing an Acting CEO because it is still in a period of
transition from its current governance structure to its new one.
"Once the organisation becomes self-governing, a new Board will be voted in and we felt that it was appropriate that
they appoint the next Chief Executive", says Mr Mosen.
"To bridge the gap, the current Board has chosen to appoint Ms Daye in the interim.
"We believe she has the right combination of skills to see us through the transition to the new governance structure and
are looking forward to working with her".
Mrs Daye will work alongside current Chief Executive Jane Holden for the next month to ensure a seamless hand-over.
An experienced Chief Executive, Mrs Daye was Acting CEO for the RNZFB earlier this year when Ms Holden was on annual
leave.
