Kidslife Foundation
Kidslife Foundation was established by the Australian Scholarships Group in 2002 as a not-for-profit body dedicated to
supporting children’s development. The Foundation promotes the well-being of children and their parents.
The goal of the Foundation is to help children learn and grow to fulfil their dreams and potential.
Objects of the Foundation include:
- To provide parents of young children with up to date, informative, researched parenting education material so they may
become more informed, and enabled to provide their children with a wide range of experiences and sound advice;
- To promote and encourage the education of parents in the area of early childhood development;
- To increase community awareness of the elements that constitute early childhood development;
- To encourage and support governmental, institutional and professional involvement in the provision of informational
and other services to the family in the areas of mental and physical development of children.
The Kidslife Foundation sees its primary role as assisting parents to improve their understanding of children’s
development and supporting them in the acquisition of better parenting skills.
The main emphasis is on children aged from birth up to the age of 10 but the Foundation also considers development
issues up to the age of 18, when children are considered to be adults.
In New Zealand, ASG has 40,000 members contributing to benefit programmes for their children’s secondary and tertiary
education. ASG also organises the National Excellence in Teaching Awards and distributes the You Can Do It! education
programme materials to schools.
