Do you shop at Woolworths in Northcote? If so, you could be $1 million richer after yesterday's (Sunday April 7, 2002)
Kachingo! big cash Easter Draw.
The lucky Kachingo!-winning shopper visited the North Shore, Auckland supermarket on Friday March 8. The $1 million
winning numbers are 07, 08, 10, 17, 19, 28 and the power number is 03.
Kachingo! managing director Mary Vance says whoever it was spent $60.93 on 17 different items and gained four Kachingo!
game lines.
She says items bought include Whiskas cat food, Fantastic beef noodle soup, a 100g Bushells instant coffee refill and an
extra large honey and soy chicken.
More than $198,000 in other prizes was also won in the monthly draw. There were 105 division two prizes of $100, 2,807
division three prizes worth $20, and more than 2,600 division four prizes of $5.
It was a lucky weekend for Woolworths Northcote shoppers. Someone who shopped at the supermarket on Saturday (April 6)
won the Kachingo! weekly draw worth $10,000.
The store has previously issued only two $1,000 winning tickets - one in November and another at the end of March -
neither of which has been claimed.
Anyone who has won $100 or more should contact Kachingo! on 0-9-309 4055 or call in to the Global Online Promotions
offices in Auckland with the ticket, Ms Vance says. Division three and four prizes can be claimed from any Kachingo!
outlet.
The easiest ways to check tickets are online at www.kachingo.co.nz or in any of the Kachingo! partner stores, many of
which have new self checking machines. Results are also published on Teletext.
"Our experience is that a big cash monthly draw tends to remind people to check all their tickets so we're expecting
quite a few claims for $1,000 daily and $10,000 weekly draw prizes, too," Ms Vance says.
The winner of the Kachingo! November draw worth $1 million is still to come forward. Whoever it is shopped at Woolworths
in the Auckland inner suburb of Grey Lynn on Tuesday, November 13.
A Wanganui father of four won $250,000 in the Kachingo! October draw and the December $250,000 draw was won by a couple
from Otaki on the west coast of the North Island near Levin. A Korean couple from Blockhouse Bay in Auckland won
$250,000 in the Kachingo! January draw.
The Easter draw was the last under the monthly structure. It now changes to weekly draws for a $100,000 big cash prize
with up to 30 second prizes of $1,000, 700 third prizes of $20 and thousands of fourth prizes of $5. The first weekly
draw is next Sunday (April 14).
