The theme of this year’s Annual Conference of the New Zealand Venereological Society ( NZVS) is “Getting it Together”
This conference, being held at The Duxton Hotel 4-6 October, brings together professionals involved in sexual health care, sexual health promotion and sexual health education for a conference of sharing ideas, new science, and networking.
Keynote Speakers at the conference include:
Prof Sharon Hillier world renowned microbiologist ( USA)
Prof Basil Donovan world renowned sexual health physician (Australia)
Dr Papaarangi Reid – director of the Eru Pomare Research Centre, Wellington School of Medicine
Prof Keith Grimwood – Head of Paediatrics, Wellington Hospital
New Zealand has some of the highest rates of chlamyidal infection amongst our young people in the developed world. We have an epidemic of gonorrhoea. What can we do to change this around? Why should we be testing for HIV and other STIs in pregnancy?
The conference organisers and speakers will be available for interviews and articles that will be of immense public interest.
