The Salvation Army Puts Thousands Out On The Street
For 118 years The Salvation Army has offered a compassionate hand to millions of kiwis throughout New Zealand.
“To ensure the social welfare and community services are available for people in need, The Salvation Army will put thousands of people out on the street this weekend May 5/6 to help door-knock New Zealand for the annual Red Shield Appeal” Major Ray Tunstall said.
Major Tunstall said, “Our goal is to raise $1.1 million through the Residential Appeal. Should you miss the collector, donations can be given by using the distinctive Red Shield Appeal householder envelope or by phoning our credit card donation line 0800 53 00 00.”
