Sea Week

Published: Fri 19 Jan 2001 10:34 AM
Hi there everyone and I thought this would be a good time to let you know that the Sea Week is going to be running from March 9-18.
The theme this year is Sea Week See Life and there are going to be a number of activities organised by DoC to mark this occasion.
We would really appreciate your support for this event as it is a great opportunity to raise awareness of issues relating to our marine environment, something we have a lot of here in Northland.
It would be great to see a number of features based on the marine theme in your publications during this time and I was wondering whether this is something you might want to think ahead a little about.
I would be happy to facilitate stories for you on this theme and will also be writing a general feature outlining the event closer to the week.
In the meantime here is a web link to the Marine Education Society of Aotearoa (MESA) that you might find interesting.
We look forward to working with you to promote this event.
kind regards wanda
