Park Planting Postponed

Park Planting Postponed
The community planting day at Thomson Park, Marine Parade, New Brighton, which was due to be held tomorrow, will now be held on Saturday 9 September at 1pm. It has been postponed because of the ground conditions. NB: Could this item be placed on Cancellation Boards please?

Housing Complex To Open
Eleven housing units in Percival Street, Beckenham, will be opened by the Mayor, Garry Moore, at 2pm tomorrow, Saturday 2 September. This unique project is a partnership with the Colombo Street Baptist Church and the Christchurch City Council. The Council built the units for $900,000 and the church's Beckenham Community Housing Trust raised $230,000 for landscaping, site works and chattels.
