BROADCASTING For Better or Worse

This Friday 30 June UNITEC's School of Communication is hosting a public forum on the future of broadcasting in NZ. This is likely to be the first opportunity for the public to meet with industry and government and discuss the new broadcasting policy papers due to be tabled with Cabinet today.
Rob Neale, communication consultant and former broadcaster, will facilitate the discussion between the panellists and audience.
The panellists are: Marian Hobbs, Minister of Broadcasting Trevor Moeke, CEO, Te Mangai Paho Paul Smith, TVNZ Board, former media commentator Joe Atkinson, University of Auckland lecturer in Political Studies Ed Mason, UNITEC lecturer in Communication
The invited audience includes a broad representation from industry, politics and media education.
Radio New Zealand will be recording the event for future broadcast. UNITEC's Film and TV students and Triangle Television will also record the event for telecast.
Everyone is invited to come along to hear and share opinions on the future of public broadcasting in New Zealand.
