The Lotteries Commission is urging all Lotto players to carefully check their tickets because it has six unclaimed
bonus prizes from recent Lotto draws.
All six prizes were determined by the unique serial number of the tickets.
Still unclaimed is a brand new VW Beetle car which was a prize in the New Year's Eve Superdraw (draw number 651). The
winning ticket was sold at Botany Downs Pak n Save in Manukau City. The ticket number is 931-65300234-2014.
Another lucky Lotto player also stands to earn $2000 each week for the whole of this year. The player bought their
ticket at Swanson Lotto in Henderson for draw number 652 which was held on 5 January, 2000. The ticket number is
936-29519893-2071.
"The prize will of course be backdated to the beginning of the year but we would really like the winner to come
forward," Commission spokeswoman Lesley Meadows says. "Once we've confirmed the details of the ticket we can arrange for
the money to be deposited each week into their nominated account."
Four Lotto Double Dip players still don't know they've won the trip of a lifetime to watch Team New Zealand race in the
America's Cup. All the tickets were sold as part of the Commission's Million Dollar Views promotion.
Each prize for two people also includes a night's accommodation at the Sheraton Hotel in Auckland, dinner and breakfast,
some Team New Zealand clothing and $250 spending money.
"The four as-yet unclaimed prizes were all sold in the Auckland area." Ms Meadows says. "The best thing for players to
do is to take their tickets into a Lotto outlet for checking. People are used to checking the numbers on their tickets
but they're less accustomed to checking the serial numbers. We're keen to find owners for these prizes so are
encouraging everyone, especially those in Auckland, to have their tickets checked."
