Industrial action averted at Victoria
Further industrial action has been averted at Victoria University after staff and management agreed to resume contract negotiations today.
Deputy Vice-Chancellor Roy Sharp said the resumption of talks meant that there would be no disruption to graduation ceremonies or the release of student grades. “Graduation will proceed as normal and I anticipate a rapid release of provisional course grades,” he said.
“I am extremely pleased that we have been able to avoid any inconvenience to students.”
