New Zealand Career College joins growing education specialists ACG
4 August 2014, Auckland. Academic Colleges Group (ACG) is pleased to announce the acquisition of the New Zealand Career College (NZCC).
The New Zealand Career College is a private tertiary education provider since 2002 and has been ably led by Mr. Feroz Ali. NZCC offers a range of certificate and diploma courses in Early Childhood, Health, Business, English and Electronic trades
.
NZCC also operates New Zealand Nannies Plus, a home-based early childhood service, specialising in support for nannies.
With five campuses in Auckland (Auckland City, Manukau and Waitakere), Wellington and Christchurch, NZCC employs approximately 70 teaching and non-teaching staff. Roughly 700 domestic and international students attend NZCC, with some 37% being of Maori and Pacific Island descent.
The CEO of ACG, Ian King, said, “I am delighted that ACG can do more to train young people for direct transition into the work force by providing more options within the tertiary and careers sector, in addition to our well-established and successful university pathways.
ACG has a close interest in Early Childhood training, Electro-technology and Health amongst others, such as Business, Cookery and Hospitality, IT, Art and Design.
Mr Feroz Ali will take up a senior role within ACG as Divisional Chief Executive of the ACG Tertiary & Careers division. He said, “I am pleased to be joining ACG where there are greater opportunities to implement a vision for a comprehensive tertiary, training and careers division offering a wide range of qualifications and pathways to the workforce.”
This is ACG’s second acquisition this year, with the Yoobee Design School joining the group in March. ACG has a wide portfolio of educational interests from private schools in New Zealand through to Vietnam and Indonesia and international schools.
ACG first began twenty years ago with the establishment of a senior school, ACG Senior College, by well-known and highly respected educationalists Dawn Jones (ex Diocesan) and John Graham (ex Auckland Grammar School). It now includes several private schools and international schools in New Zealand, Indonesia and Vietnam.
