UCOL will host the Lion Foundation Young Enterprise Scheme Dragon's Den final at the Atrium, 5 June, 2014. The event kicks off promptly at 5:30 pm, corner of King and Princess Street, Palmerston North.
12 teams representing 6 secondary schools within the Manawatu and Wanganui will vie for $1,000 cash prize as well as a $2,500 accounting package from Morrison Creed.
Judges Mike West, Lyn McCurdy and Jason Driscole will listen to a 5 minute pitch from each team and the team with the most magic up their sleeve will walk away with the cash and accounting package.
Teams from Freyberg High School, Palmerston North Girls High, Palmerston North Boys High, Wanganui Collegiate, Nga Tawa and U-Skills (UCOL) have been working hard over the first term and a half, with help from local business mentors and experts at BCC (www.thebcc.co.nz). Most teams have physical prototypes or finished products and some have paying customers.
