Learning Media scoops 3 awards for educational publishing
Learning Media has won three out of six awards at the recent CLNZ Educational Publishing Awards:
• Best Book or Series in Primary Publishing
• Best Book or Series in Te Reo Māori

Learning Media has won three out of six awards at the recent CLNZ Educational Publishing Awards:
• Best Book or Series in Primary Publishing
• Best Book or Series in Te Reo Māori
• Best Digital Media Solution
The Best Book or Series in Primary Publishing was awarded to Learning Media and editor Susan Paris for School Journal Part 4 Number 2 2011, a history of rugby in New Zealand with a 1981 Springbok tour focus. This is the second straight year Susan has won
this award with School Journal Part 4 Number 3 2010 taking the award last year.
The inaugural Te Reo Māori Book category was awarded to Learning Media and authors Che Wilson and Carol Buchanan for Te Wharekura 90 – Te Mana o Ruapehu. The judges described the book as an intriguing journey captured through storytelling and centered on the mountain
Ruapehu.
Learning Media produces The School Journal and Te Wharekura for the Ministry of Education, and have done so since their respective inceptions on 1907 and 1960. These invaluable
resources are provided to New Zealand schools, kura and Educational Institutions.
CWA New Media (a business unit of Learning Media) and Huia Publishers were awarded the inaugural Best Digital Media Solution Award for He Reo Tupu, He Reo Ora. This website contains a number of animated clips in te reo māori and is available free to schools and the general
