Test drivers wanted for IT careers
Leading IT training provider EXCOM Education is offering those considering a career in IT, the chance to experience this dynamic industry first-hand at the upcoming Open Day in Auckland on Saturday 23 August 2008.
As students enter a season of open days collecting reams of information, EXCOM’s uniquely interactive open day puts IT aspirants into the “driver’s seat” of a new career in IT, giving them the chance to discover how the industry operates and how to be a part of it. With interactive demonstrations and access to professionals already working within the IT sector, the open day promises to help more people considering a career in IT become a reality.
“There is no better time than now to consider a career in one of the most exciting and well-paid industries in the world. The opportunities in the industry are only limited by your own imagination,” said Express IT Manager, Cassandra Ashworth.
The open day will offer IT aspirants the opportunity to discover more about this ever changing industry and how they can be working in IT within as little as four months. Additionally, attendees will have the opportunity to speak to past graduates, listen to experts in the field and understanding how EXCOM’s Career Advisors can help them get into IT.
Those attending the open day will have the opportunity to talk to industry experts and employers, obtain free giveaways and receive generous study grants towards their Express IT Programme.
“The classic image of an IT geek is no longer relevant as the industry offers so much more than just helpdesk/call centre work. There are opportunities for people to become involved with creating new technologies, working their way up to managerial roles or even starting their own firms. There is more to IT than meets the eye,” said Ms Ashworth.
EXCOM Education’s Auckland Open Day runs from 10am until 1pm at Level 8, 385 Queen St, Auckland. Places for the event are strictly limited so registration is essential for those attending.
Call 0800 439 266 or visit EXCOM Education online at www.excom.com.au/openday for a chance to win a Nintendo Wii by attending on the day!
