Award finalist
Chris Matthews, a lecturer in Small Business at The Open Polytechnic of New Zealand, is a finalist in the individual category of this year’s Vero Excellence in Small Business Support Awards.
The Polytechnic has had a strong showing in the awards over the last three years, twice winning the Education Provider section, and also winning the Supreme Award in its inaugural year. This is the first time the Polytechnic has been represented at an individual level.
Chris says the nomination is a result of the hard work the team in the Polytechnic’s Centre for Entrepreneurship and Enterprise Development have done to help small businesses around New Zealand.
The New Zealand Business Excellence Foundation judges the awards, which will be held in Auckland on the 17th April.
