Commercialising Science In China
A high-level Kiwi forum on commercialising science and technology in China is being staged in Beijing on April 18.
Organised jointly by The University of Auckland and Tsinghua University's commercialisation company, it is for New
Zealand researchers, scientists and corporate technological innovators.
The forum will familiarise participants with the science and technology innovation system in China.
The keynote speaker is Andrew Grant, who heads McKinsey & Company's Greater China offices. There are sessions on technology commercialisation best practices, IP bundling and
protection, early stage gap funding practices, and venture capital.
A free workshop on "Doing business in China" on April 16 and a free "Science to market conference" on April 17 will
precede the forum.
Venue for the China-NZ Technology Networking Forum is Tsinghua Science and Technology Park in the district of Beijing
known as the "Asian Silicon Valley".
