Dr Paul Hutchinson (MP) patches up slamming slur on DJ training
Earlier this year Dr Paul Hutchinson brought questions to the house on the value of training DJs within the tertiary system. Whitireia Polytechnic Chief Executive Don Campbell faced scrutiny on the relevance of the DJ school at Whitireia.
Dr. Hutchinson visited the programme in 2007. The 18 students demonstrated technical skills gained, tutors DJ Raw and Shan outlined the training framework and the business opportunities for the graduates.
On Thursday 13 December 2007, 2pm at Elim Church in Porirua, the students in the course who passed the assessments in Diploma in DJ Skills will graduate. And Dr. Paul Hutchinson will be there (cabinet emergency session willing) to present the inaugural "Dr Paul Hutchison's DJ Trophy".
