Business Students Receive Awards
Local businesses are showing their support for Whanganui UCOL business students by sponsoring awards and gifts that will be awarded according to student academic achievements. Recipients will be announced at a special Business Awards Ceremony on Friday 14 December at the Wanganui Function Centre, in the Celebrity Lounge.
Ralph Tattersall, Head of Whanganui UCOL’s Business School said it is all about creating and building relationships between businesses and their future employees. “We have been fortunate that local businesses in Whanganui have continued to show us and our students their support. It also confirms the importance of business education in the community”.
Local business supporting the Business Studies Awards are, Association of Administrative Professionals of New Zealand (AAPNZ), Ballentynes Fashion Central, Great New Zealand Gifts, Horsley Christie Law and Notary Public, The Kingsgate Avenue Hotel and Conference Centre, Kiwi Webs, The Ministry of Education Wanganui Regional Office, National Bank, New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants (NZICA) National Office, Office Max , TCL Communications, Wanganui Chamber in Commerce and Industry, Wanganui Inc, Wanganui Investment Brokers, and Wanganui District Health Board (IT).
