Last night at the National Launch or Adult Learners' Week, Spark Studio were given a UNESCO Adult Learning Commendation
for their services in supporting diversity in Adult learning ... and guess what's happening tonight ...
Independence, Originality, Interesting, and Fun - "Canvas for Expression" - This is your personal invitation!
Spark Studio (Panacea Arts Charitable Trust) provides Art sessions for adults with serious intellectual and physical
disabilities. For many people attending an Art session is the highlight of their week. Art is something they can do for
themselves and one of the few ways available for self-expression. Some artists are non-verbal and all are adults
currently facing a range of barriers to access mainstream communication, buildings and services. Independence,
Originality, Interesting, and Fun this is how our Artists see their studio life. Vibrant and dynamic images reflect the
power of canvas for expression.
Raise the self-esteem of Auckland adults with disability. Support Art in your community - read on:
- as a business/organisation - please send a representative to our Speakers Event Monday 4 Sept 4pm-5:45pm. Network with
like-minded business/organisations, explore workplace "Creativity and Collaboration" in an entertaining, fast moving
90min seminar. KOHA or $50 donation requested. Keynote speakers include: Philip Patston - Billy T Award winner; Pat
Armitstead - Joyologist, Humour Resources; Minnie Baragwanath - well known TV presenter & Auckland City spokesperson on disability issues ... ASB Trusts, AUT, IHC/Telecom and more read on:
- as an individual - you are invited to attend our free entry Art Auction - Monday 4 Sept - 6pm-7:30pm.
Come at 5:45pm to be part of our Opening Night Performance celebrations. Performance by mixed ability Circus Kumarani,
and rythmic exploration participation finale with Living Rhythm. Have fun, perhaps purchase a painting from your
favourite Spark Studio Artist, read on:

original oil, suitable for a feature wall or boardroom will be auctioned between 7pm-7:10pm (Spark Studio Art Auction -
Monday 4th Sept). Tell your colleagues and associates! Dean Buchanan is an internationally renowned, NZ Artist. Dean has
generously donated this fantastic painting for auction in support of our Artists. Make this worth our while see our
