Leaving the Stone Age Behind
With a new year dawns a new beginning. Leaving behind a successful trail of milestones Student Job Search has reached all this summer’s targets but now has a new focus. It’s all about jumping into the new millennium (albeit it slightly late) and embracing change. This year Student Job Search is proud to release their new tool, the new and vastly improved website www.sjs.co.nz.
Employers and students alike are welcoming the new website. Although there are still more bells and whistles to be added, the website offers vast improvements. Employers can now log on to the website with considerable ease and lodge a position which staff can pull down almost instantaneously. The website offers advice on many different areas to assist employers and students.
The beauty of the new system is the simplicity and timeliness it offers; an employer can lodge a job at any time and students can browse positions at will.
Innovative Business Solutions Director Steve Lowery is one of the employers who has utilised the new website. Mr. Lowery placed a FutureGrad position through the website and after successfully finding a candidate advertised another position as well. Lowery commented on the convenience and speed of lodging a position stating “the response was very prompt and the turnaround was brilliant”.
