The University of Cambridge, New Zealand Studies Seminar Group presents
four seminars in March and May 2006:-
6 March at 6pm: Professor Michael Kelly
"New Zealand, New Zealanders and the Royal Society"
Corpus Christi College room I4, New Court.
13 March at 5pm: Dr Paul McHugh "Making rights aboriginally - the legal foundations and history of Maori claims in the past twenty-five years" Corpus Christi College McCrum Lecture Theatre, Benet Street.
22 May at 6pm: Dr Rory Sweetman
"Bishop in the Dock: the sedition trial of James Liston"
Corpus Christi College McCrum Lecture Theatre, Benet Street.
And, in association with the Cabinet of Natural History, Department of
History and Philosophy of Science:-
29 May at 1pm: Dr James Beattie "Empire and Nature in New Zealand: theologies of nature and natural theologies, 1830-1920" Seminar Room 1, Department of History and Philosophy of Science, Free School Lane.
