Dazzling Digital Artistry on Display at Otago Conference
The latest in cutting-edge computer graphics and animation artistry from around the world will be publicly showcased at a major conference hosted by the University of Otago next week.
GRAPHITE 2005 gathers together 150 researchers and practitioners from New Zealand and overseas to explore and celebrate innovation in computer graphics, interactive media, animation and visual effects, says Conference Chair Professor Geoff Wyvill.
The event features an electronic theatre, digital art gallery and a trade expo which are open to the public, as well as a technical sessions and workshops, including a Weta Digital visual effects course.
GRAPHITE runs from Tuesday 29 November until Friday 2 December at the University's St David Lecture Theatre Complex. It is organised by the University of Otago's Computer Science Department, with the University and New Zealand Trade and Enterprise (NZTE) as Strategic Partners....
